Hong Kong, Aug.14.─ A US official has signaled increasing alarm over the deterioration of human rights in China, saying the topic will be central in an upcoming visit by President Xi Jinping to Washington next month.
Delegations of the two world powers met yesterday and are meeting again Friday (HK time Saturday) in Washington for their annual “Human Rights Dialogue,'' addressing one of the thorniest issues between the two governments.

En España también se ha recordado esta fecha pero unos días antes (30 de julio) haciéndolo coincidir en el Acto memorial de homenaje a las víctimas del Samudaripen con el aniversario de la Gran Redada o Prisión general de gitanos en España del 30 de julio de 1749.

Bangkok, June 23.─ Often excluded from decision-making, poor and lower-caste women can contribute to the development of their communities through volunteer work, experts said, calling for more opportunities for marginalized women in governance and local groups.
In many developing countries, only more privileged women are able to influence decisions made in local government or community groups that affect the lives of women across social classes, said Rosemary Kalapurakal of United Nations Volunteers.
