Protesters blocked the last part of the A12 main road leading to the parliament in the administrative capital The Hague.
Amsterdam, March 12.– Approximately 3 thousand people gathered with the organization of the group called “Extinction Rebellion”, closed the last part of the A12, which is the entrance of the city, causing traffic disruption on the connection routes.
The demonstrators, who demanded an end to the use of oil, coal and gas, criticized the government’s fossil fuel policy.

The Supreme Prosecutor Uriel Teran presented the requirement against Pedro Castillo before the Supreme Judge Juan Carlos Checley Soria.
The measure also falls on former ministers Juan Silva and Geiner Alvarado.
Lima, Mar.1.– The National Prosecutor's Office requested 36 months of preventive detention against Pedro Castillo for allegedly leading a criminal organization in the modality of aggravated collusion and influence peddling. The initiative also falls to former ministers Juan Silva (Transportation and Communications) and Geiner Alvarado (Housing).
The Supreme Prosecutor Uriel Teran presented the request before the Supreme Court of Justice, after the Prosecutor's Office formalized the investigation against the former president on Tuesday, February 21.

On 17 February 2023 the Grand Chamber decided to join inter-State application Ukraine v. Russia (X) (application no. 11055/22) to the inter-State applications in Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia (application nos. 8019/16, 43800/14 and 28525/20), which was already pending before it and which was declared partially admissible on 30 November 2022 in a decision that was delivered on 25 January 2023: see press release.
The joined case will be referred to as Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia (nos. 8019/16, 43800/14, 28525/20, and 11055/22).
This decision was taken in accordance with Rules 42 § 1 and 71 § 1 of the Rules of Court in the interests of the efficient administration of justice. The Court will shortly fix the future procedure in the case.
