Brussels, Apr.28.– European Parliament President Roberta Metsola urged Mini European Assembly participants to be active, make their voices heard and to vote, and encourage their relatives and friends to fulfill their civic duties.

Addressing the Mini European Assembly, Metsola underlined that participatory democracy and dialogue should always be given priority in a democratic society.

The EP president also spoke about the advantages that come with participating in the Mini European Assembly, including the importance of extracurricular activities.

Mayo 3.– President Andrés Manuel López Obrador described the United States government on Tuesday as "interference" for granting resources to civil organizations that have criticized the self-called "Fourth Transformation" (4T).

In his morning conference, he pointed out that it is a "violation of the sovereignty" of Mexico that the State Department, through a program of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), helps finance to NGOs that work for transparency and accountability in order to promote democracy, such as México Evalúa , Mexicanos Contra la Corrupción e Impunidad (MCCI) and Article 19.

Havana, May 1.– The Cuban Conflict Observatory (OCC) organization, which prepares monthly reports on the conflict on the island, registered 370 public protests last April, a month in which the serious shortage of gasoline "forced to suspend" the government parade of the First of May. This is the first time since the triumph of the revolution (1959) that the parade on May 1 has been suspended for economic reasons. In 2020 and 2021 the celebration was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
