China's pseudo-communist regime has been brutally oppressing the Tibetan people since it occupied the country in 1950 and stole its independence.
This oppression is not only political, as a consequence of the violation of its sovereignty, but it is applied to uproot the culture and religion that had prevailed in Tibet for centuries.
Chinese officials have been intensifying their efforts in recent years to control all aspects of Tibetan Buddhism. Nothing strikes at the hearts of Tibetans or appalls them more than the Chinese regime's intention to interfere in the selection of a future Dalai Lama.
Under President Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is scheming to deceive people worldwide by installing its own "Dalai Lama" who will endorse and extend China's oppressive policies in Tibet.
The CCP already displays the depths to which it will sink to crush Tibetal religious rights when they kidnapped a 6-year-old boy who had disappeared since 1995 after the Dalai Lama recognized the child as the 11th Panchen Lama, an important figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Afterward, the CCP selected a replacement to serve as Beijing's mouthpiece and political agent, while the real Panchen Lama has never been seen or heard from again. 
The atheist Chinese government has no authority in appointing Tibetan religious leaders.** According to Tibetan religious beliefs, only the 89-year-old His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama can decide where, when or if to reincarnate, just as the 13th Dalai Lamas did before him through centuries of Tibetan Buddhism.
He expressed recently that "no recognition or acceptance should be given to a candidate chosen for political ends by anyone, including those in the People's Republic of China".

** The Chinese government also appoints their own "catholic" bishops under the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association (CCPA) they created in 1957. This is still happening despite an agreement reached by the Vatican with Chinese authorities that is being renewed every two years since 2018. According to not verified reports, the agreement allows the CCPA to select episcopal candidates, who would then be approved or vetoed by the Holy See. An estimated 6 million Catholics are registered with the CCPA, while several million more are estimated to belong to unregistered Catholic communities that have remained loyal to the Holy See.
