Censura oficial: Cuban government blocks international E-Mail access

[Read English version of the following text at the foot of this message]

[read this message in English after the following text]

The Cuban government not only blocks its citizens from access to the internet -except for a group of privileged and pro-Government figures-, but it is also blocking international email access.

ParticipatoryDemocracy.net has received notices in multiple instances showing that some Cubans interested in our newsletters have found their international reach blocked to prevent them from access to alternative sources of information in a country where the press and other media are fully controlled.

We show our readers one of those cases above, where our Newsletter has been rejected because "International access is not allowed" [written in Spanish]. We have omitted the name of the recipient in this particular case to avoid retaliation and further official repression.
