What Is the Islamic State Khorasan?

Founded in 2015, the Afghan branch of the Islamic State is determined to take over Afghanistan, even from Taliban control, and renew a Caliphate that will wage war against democratic and Christian countries.

Kabul, Aug.27.– Shortly after a bombing attack killed masses of people on Thursday, including at least 13 U.S. troops and more than 170 civilians outside Afghanistan’s main airport, President Biden vowed to get revenge.

“We will not forget,” Mr. Biden said from the White House. “We will hunt you down and make you pay.”

U.N.'s Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed arrives in Haiti to express solidarity.

Les Cayes, Aug.20.– Desperation was growing among Haitians in the most remote parts of the country on Friday but international aid was finally, slowly reaching Haiti’s devastated southwestern peninsula nearly a week after a catastrophic earthquake.

In the city of Les Cayes, hundreds of people surrounded shipping trailers carrying supplies for earthquake victims, waiting for food and other basic necessities.

Joe Chialo is the Christian Democratic Union candidate for a Berlin constituency in Germany’s 26 September federal election. In his office he has a CDU campaign poster for the federal Joe Chialo, CDU candidate election of 1957, showing Ludwig Erhard in a suit and tie with the well-known slogan ‘Prosperity for All’. ‘That’s still a core party value,’ said Chialo, CEO of a music agency, as he squeezed me in between a photoshoot and ‘an urgent meeting with an artist’.

New UK sanctions target a range of sectors – but no words about the City of London's role in helping the Belarusian regime raise money, say MPs.

London, Aug. 11.– The British government has come under fire from prominent opposition MPs over the effectiveness of its new sanctions on Belarus.

The new package of sanctions came in response to the crackdown on peaceful protesters that followed president Alexander Lukashenko’s victory in last year’s Belarusian elections.

Aug. 6.– Foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) nations said on Friday that all evidence of the recent attack on an oil tanker in the Arabian Sea “clearly points to Iran,” and that the regime’s behaviour is a threat to international peace and security.

“We condemn the unlawful attack committed on a merchant vessel off the coast of Oman on 29 July, which killed a British and a Romanian national,” foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the High Representative of the European Union said in a statement.
