FBI Emails show how agency officials warned Hillary Clinton's legal team a few days before the 2016 election

Written by Judicial Watch on 14 February 2019. Posted in Headlines.

Just two days before Election Day FBI Director Comey sent another letter to Congress stating that agents had concluded their review of "all of the communications" to or from Clinton while she was Secretary of State that appeared on the laptop, and that the review did not change his assessment that Clinton should not be prosecuted.

Washington DC, Jan.12.– Newly released internal FBI emails showed the agency's highest-ranking officials scrambling to answer to Hillary Clinton's lawyers in the days prior to the 2016 presidential election, on the same day then-FBI Director James Comey sent a bombshell letter to Congress announcing a new review of hundreds of thousands of potentially classified emails found on former Rep. Anthony Weiner's laptop

The trove of documents turned over by the FBI, in response to a lawsuit by the transparency group Judicial Watch, also included discussions by former FBI lawyer Lisa Page concerning a potential quid pro quo between the State Department and the FBI -- in which the FBI would agree to effectively hide the fact that a Clinton email was classified in exchange for more legal attache positions that would benefit the FBI abroad, and allow them to send more agents to countries where the FBI's access is ordinarily restricted.

Key points from Trump's State of the Union, 2019

Written by Democracia Participativa on 07 February 2019. Posted in Headlines.

US President Donald Trump called on Congress to reject "the politics of revenge, resistance and retribution" as he faced a divided hall for his State of the Union speech.

Feb.6 (DP.net).– The US President declared before Congress that it was time “to bridge old divisions, heal old wounds, build new coalitions, forge new solutions and unlock the extraordinary promise of America's future".

Mr Trump spoke at a critical moment in his presidency, staring down a two-year stretch that will determine whether he is re-elected or leaves office in defeat, facing at this point a low popularity rating of 43%.

But what did we learn from the speech on Tuesday night? Let us see five key talking points from Mr Trump’s major address delivered to the nation:

Pope Francis celebrates public outdoor mass in Abu Dhabi

Written by Democracia Participativa on 04 February 2019. Posted in Headlines.

The Pope establishes an outstanding precedent. «I am visiting the United Arab Emirates as a brother, in order to write a page of dialogue together», he said.  Pope Francis arrives in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Feb.4 (DP.net).– On Tuesday, at 10:30am Pope Francis will hold mass at Zayed Sports City and then deliver his homily – a message, yet again, that would focus on tolerance, compassion and understanding – the very essence of Christianity, as seen in his tweet before he set out for the UAE.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Tolerance sees Pope’s visit as way to build bridges at a time of growing nationalism and insularism around the world. Al Nahyan was appointed the country’s first Minister of Tolerance in 2017. It is one of several unique government posts created in recent years. The UAE has declared 2019 it’s “Year of Tolerance.”

Venezuelans, Strength Is in Unity!

Written by Juan Guaidó on 31 January 2019. Posted in Headlines.

Mr. Guaidó is leading the efforts
to remove Nicolás Maduro from power,
acting as provisional President,
elected by the Venezuelan National Assembly.–

To end the Maduro regime with the minimum of bloodshed, we need the support of pro-democratic governments, institutions and individuals the world over." – Juan Guaidó.

Received from Caracas, Venezuela – On Jan. 23, 61 years after the vicious Juan Guaidódictator Marcos Pérez Jiménez was ousted, Venezuelans once again gathered for a day of democratic celebration.

Pérez Jiménez was fraudulently elected by a Constituent Assembly in 1953. His term of office was scheduled to expire in 1958. But rather than calling for free and transparent presidential elections, he was undemocratically re-elected after holding a plebiscite on his administration late in 1957. Following widespread protests and a rupture within the military establishment, the dictator left the country and Venezuela regained its freedom on Jan. 23, 1958.

Once again we face the challenge of restoring our democracy and rebuilding the country, this time amid a humanitarian crisis and the illegal retention of the presidency by Nicolás Maduro. There are severe medicine and food shortages, essential infrastructure and health systems have collapsed, a growing number of children are suffering from malnutrition, and previously eradicated illnesses have re-emerged.

We have one of the highest homicide rates in the world, which is aggravated by the government’s brutal crackdown on protesters. This tragedy has prompted the largest exodus in Latin American history, with three million Venezuelans now living abroad.

I would like to be clear about the situation in Venezuela: Mr. Maduro’s re-election on May 20, 2018, was illegitimate, as has since been acknowledged by a large part of the international community. His original six-year term was set to end on Jan. 10. By continuing to stay in office, Nicolás Maduro is usurping the presidency.

El Estado no es más que un órgano habilitado para hacer uso del poder y la coerción y compuesto de expertos o especialistas en el orden y el bienestar público; es un instrumento al servicio del hombre.
