70% of the 5 million Central African Republic population identifies as Christian, including 34% Catholics and 30% Evangelical Christians. The remainder 30% of the populace are predominantly Sunni Muslims with many still practicing animistic tribal beliefs.

Bangui, Dec. 17 (DP.net).– Christians who actively share their faith suffer intense violence at the hands of Muslim rebels. 

A coalition of Islamic rebel groups –known as Seleka– operating from the northern part of the Country succeeded in 2013 in ousting the Central African Republic president, but soon splintered into multiple groups with differing agendas. However, they have regrouped and added other groups who were not part of the coup.

They are raping women, burning people alive and, in general, pursuing Christians and killing as many as they could. For many Christians, survival is still a struggle inside the Internally Displaced People (IDP) camps where some 600,000 persons live.

New Haven, Dec. 15 (DPnet).– Sen. Blumenthal appeared last Saturday at the Amistad Awards ceremony, sponsored by the Connecticut People's World Committee (CPWC), a political organization affiliated with the Communist Party USA, to hand out special recognition certificates from the U.S. Senate to three individuals. The CPWC hosted the ceremony on the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party USA. With Senator Blumenthal appeared State Senator Julie Kushner (D-Danbury) and Pastor Rodney Wade of Waterbury, a long-term supporter of the Democratic Party.

In his keynote speech, Blumenthal said he was “excited and honored” to speak at the awards ceremony for the Connecticut People’s World Committee, an open Communist Party affiliate. Indeed, the event celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) as it explicitly aimed to recruit new CPUSA members.

The Pandora Papers reveal the secret offshore holdings of more than 330 politicians and 130 billionaires, as well as celebrities and royals. The files also shed light on the financial dealings of fraudsters, drug dealers, fugitive cult leaders and corrupt sports officials.

 Washington DC, Dec.6.– With the addition of more than 15,000 companies, foundations and trusts, ICIJ’s Offshore Leaks database now has information on more than 800,000 entities registered in secrecy jurisdictions coming from five different investigations.

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists is publishing data on the beneficial owners of more than 15,000 offshore companies, foundations, trusts, and other entities from the Pandora Papers investigation. The records were incorporated into the Offshore Leaks database and come from two offshore services providers: Panamanian law firm Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee (Alcogal) and Fidelity Corporate Services, headquartered in the British Virgin Islands.
