Rome, Nov.26 (AP).– National Geographic magazine’s famed green-eyed “Afghan Girl” has arrived in Italy as part of the West’s evacuation of Afghans following the Taliban takeover of the country, the Italian government said Thursday.
The office of Premier Mario Draghi said Italy organized the evacuation of Sharbat Gulla after she asked to be helped to leave the country.

Jerusalem, Nov.23.– Israel said on Tuesday it will not be bound by any new nuclear deal with a goal of reviving the Iranian 2015 nuclear accord ahead of international talks with world leaders next week.
“In any event, even if there is a return to a deal, Israel is of course not a party to the deal and Israel is not obligated by the deal,” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said during a news conference hosted by Reichman University.
Iran is set to resume the talks in Vienna, Austria, on Nov. 29, the European Union announced earlier this month. The EU said that the meeting of the commission of the Iran deal, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will be attended by representatives from Iran, China, France, Germany, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
Israel has long opposed the nuclear deal. Although Bennett’s government previously said it could be open to a new deal with tougher restrictions, his remarks on Tuesday sounded less accommodating. (...)
Kabul, Nov. 22.– The Taliban has called for an end to Afghan dramas and soap operas featuring female actors.
The rule tops a list of eight religious guidelines issued to local media on Sunday. Anisa Shaheed, one of Afghanistan’s most high-profile journalists, confirmed the directive via her Twitter account.

A top Taiwanese official revealed that Beijing has debated invading islands controlled by Taiwan lying near the mainland.
Taipei, Nov. 5.– China will make those who support “Taiwan independence” criminally liable for life, the country’s Taiwan Affairs Office said on Oct. 5 as the island faces growing pressure from the other side of the strait.
The grim warning on Friday was the first concrete punishment Beijing has spelled out revolving the sovereignty of the democratic ruling island, which Beijing claims as its own and threatens to seize by force if necessary.
Makele, Oct. 30.– The Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) said on Saturday that its forces have taken control of the strategic city of Dessie in Ethiopia's Amhara region. However, the Ethiopian government has denied the claim.
Earlier in the day, residents in the city told Nation.Africa that they had seen TPLF fighters entering the city which has been the centre of fighting for weeks.
Earlier, Reuters quoted rebel spokesman Getachew Reda as saying that Tigray forces had pushed government forces out of Dessie and took control of the city.
