Dhaka, Aug.31.– Academics, researchers, and activists on Saturday said that institutional and legal reforms in the post-uprising era would not sustain unless the political parties institutionalise participatory democracy with youth engagement.
They made the remarks while addressing the Bengal Delta Conference 2025 organised by a Dhaka-based think tank, Dacca Institute of Research and Analytics, at a hotel in the capital.

Dhaka, Aug.22.– Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today attributed the mass upsurges in different parts of the world to a lack of participatory democracy and justice, saying that without true democracy, social stability and peace cannot be durable, reports BSS.
"Absence of democracy and social justice can be linked to sustenance of poverty, inequality, deprivation, and marginalization, which in turn instigates extremism and terrorism," she said.
