Miami, Sept.18 (DPnet).– José Tarano, a cybertechnical producer and graphic designer with a degree in Telecommunications, has published a revealing essay that delves into the covert penetration of socialism, disguised as progressive, not only in Latin America but also, to a growing extent, in America.
He presents it with the simile of the famous «Trojan Horse" where the strategy is to work "under the cloak of seemingly benign concepts like 'democratic socialism' or 'social justice,' and seeks to 'rehabilitate' ideologies that have historically led to despotism». Therefore, he elaborates on a detailed analysis that thoroughly examines «the discursive strategies and political tactics employed for this rehabilitation.»
Among other things, he highlights the distortion—as George Orwell masterfully described it last century in his novel "1984"—of concepts like "democracy," "freedom," "social justice," "common good," etc., etc., appropriating traditional liberal terminology and giving them a different meaning.
In his analysis, Tarano highlights how "Neo-socialist movements skillfully exploit tensions and inequalities generated by economic modernization" and how "socialist movements have used democratic institutions to establish authoritarian regimes," taking advantage of electoral processes in times of adverse circumstances for the country where they are held.
