I recently read an article in Spanish
on this website's Martinez-Solanas column
, and I appreciate his sharing research about
Chinese companies owning so much farmland in the US.
When my team did the research and provided a 30-page report to Congress on this topic some years ago, we figured it would disappear into the D.C. swamp, never to be seen or heard from again. To our surprise, it sparked a national discussion on this topic.
It's much more than farmland, though; it's mineral rights, commodities, and locations near sensitive national security areas.
Thank you for helping ensure that the work we put into exposing this issue nationwide has more voices than my team alone.
