Pandora's Box is open, unmasking one of the biggest scandals in US political History

A scandal has broken out that significantly harms the Democratic Party because it exposes the murky handlings of one of its leading figures, Joe Biden, the former vice President of the United States under the Administration of President Obama.

The Democratic leadership made the mistake of dedicating itself almost exclusively to loathing President Donald Trump from the first day of his term, neglecting his legislative responsibility to amend or pass laws that benefit the country. In this way, they have launched a series of inquiries that have only served to open the Pandora's box where we are now discovering a series of maneuvers revealing the degree of corruption of some of their leaders that were kept discreetly out of sight up to these days.

I referred to this issue in a previous report that I wrote in this same forum, titled « Dissident Billionaire makes explosive revelations about China’a strategy vs Trump », but I did not enter into details about the facts and the sources that support the allegations involved, due to a lack of time to do a good investigative work without falling into speculation. Nevertheless, at least in the case of Joe Biden and his efforts to favor his son Hunter, taking advantage of the weight of his political power, the compromising facts and its details have exploded in full light during the last few days.

Among other arguments contained in that post, I informed the readers and participants on this forum that: “There are very influential political figures in these circles, including among many others, Democrats John Kerry, Joe Biden, Richard Daley, Richard Durbin, Devon Archer, and former US President Barak Obama, plus no less that Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, to only mention a few among the most prominent who maintain juicy businesses, investments and other undercover interests in China, either directly or through other members of their families. In addition, some of them are known to maintain close financial relations with George Soros”, a multibillionaire who has been reported of being behind many of the subversive movements of recent years, from Occupy Wall Street (and other Occupy movements all over the world) to Black Lives Matter, among others.

The unrelenting obsession of some Democratic leaders to impeach President Trump played in favor of my previous concerns because they unwittingly opened the Pandora’s box that is now exposing Biden's ambitious and murky maneuvers in Ukraine and in China in favor of his son Hunter, at the time when he was serving as Vice President of the United States. Therefore, I did not have to waste time investigating the facts to share them with readers of this forum because they are now clearly visible to all.

The most unfortunate thing about this episode that we can now watch on TV is the misrepresentation and lies uttered by some Democratic leaders to try to divert attention from the serious faults committed by Mr. Biden during his tenure. In order to achieve their goal, they are pointing the attention of the general public towards an alleged conspiracy of President Trump with Ukraine’s President to harm the presidential aspirations of the Democrats in 2020. They are substantiating their claims on a whistleblower who has leaked a hear-say testimony obtained from second hand and even from third hand sources about the private conversation between both presidents, arguing that the US President applied pressure on Ukraine to harm Biden’s reputation and interfere in the electoral aspirations of the Democratic Party.

Therefore, some Democratic leaders of Congress have had no qualms at all when exaggerating the content of that conversation and "quoting" it by adding words and phrases that both presidents had never exchanged. No less than the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., made up his own version of a transcript between President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart to fit the false narrative being peddled by Democrats and many others in the media to frame the US President for a crime that never happened. Schiff did so in his opening statement at a congressional hearing featuring acting Department of National Intelligence Director Joseph Maguire, where other Democrats also used false "quotations" in their arguments.

I am not going to tire you here with a long narrative about the inconsistencies and falsehoods of the alleged words and phrases "quoted" by Mr. Schiff in contrast with the true context of the conversation he referred to, a tactical propaganda measure being used by other Democrats hoisting these false allegations as the banner that will lead them to knock down President Trump through impeachment. It is extremely unfortunate and sad to see how a political party that has such a prestigious history as this one, is being dragged into the mud of innuendos and falsehoods by a handful of leaders who are separating it from the honesty and political decency that most of their peers formerly displayed.

The real issue here is this: A foreign natural gas company brings a top US politician’s son onto its board, even though he has no relevant expertise, for $50,000 a month. The politician travels to that country and demands the removal of a prosecutor who’s investigating the company and his son's maneuvers. That prosecutor then gets axed, and the investigation is shut down. Not only that, but there are videos showing how Joe Biden openly boasts about getting that prosecutor axed. Then there’s former Ukraine President Lutsenko’s claim that the Obama Administration handed him a “do not prosecute” list in mid-2016, even as it was pushing Ukraine for dirt on Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign manager. In addition, Hunter’s $50,000 monthly salary is just the tip of the iceberg: thanks to the preferential treatment he got, he has raised profits amounting to several million dollars from his Ukrainian businesses.

But that is not all. Hunter’s private equity fund Rosemont Capital (co-founded with John Kerry stepson Chris Heinz) similarly exploited family connections to grow to $2.4 billion under management. Notably, the major breakthrough came after an early meeting with China’s largest, most powerful government-funded leaders the same day Joe Biden met with China’s President. A second meeting with the same Beijing personalities came just two weeks after the then-Veep opened the US-China Strategic Dialogue with top Chinese officials. And Hunter would close a $1.4 billion Rosemont deal with the government-run Bank of China in 2013 while accompanying his dad on a top-level trip to Beijing, in spite of the fact that he had no previous banking experience whatsoever.

There is no doubt that in the face of serious events such as these, while not counting as well those involving other personalities of the Democratic Party who also have much to cover up (see my previous message mentioned above), there is a real despair in their ranks due to the disappointing degree of corruption that is now being uncovered to the voters who will decide the fate of this country in 2020. The Democrats would do much better in 2020 if their leaders weighted these mistakes and confronted them honestly, purging their ranks by openly condemning their perpetrators and dealing with the economy and other problems facing the country as they should with legislative measures that remedy them instead of wasting more time and energy on a policy of divisive antagonism that does much more harm than good to the United States.

One might ask why these and other equally important pieces of evidence mentioned in my previous post have not been investigated by a Senate Governmental Affairs Committee or a Judiciary Committee in charge of such investigations. Considering the fact that the Republican Party has a majority in the Senate, why not take advantage to open an investigation against high figures of the Democratic Party who have taken advantage of their political influence to obtain murky benefits and also to conduct spurious investigations against electoral rivals before the 2016 elections?

It is very difficult to answer this question without falling into speculation. However, it may be thought that some of the leaders of the Republican Party in the Senate are afraid to open their own Pandora boxes as well.

Among them stands out nothing less than Mitch McConnell, the ineffable leader of the Senate Majority since January 3, 2015. He is likely to be afraid of raising waves causing investigations that harm the business interests of his wife Elaine Chao and her family, who have been benefited by their close ties with the Chinese military-industrial complex. One is to question as well whether he is afraid that his own involvement in these deals might be revealed. The best indication of his reticence is found in the fact that McConnell has become less critical of Beijing as those relationships have blossomed since 2004 to our days, giving way to a ten-fold increase of the couple's fortune. This reticence has worked against President Trump's recent confrontations with the Chinese nomenclature in power.

Among other things, it is important to consider that both Senator McConnell's father-in-law and sister-in-law have served on the board of directors of a Chinese government-owned military contractor and another sister-in-law has been appointed to the government-controlled Bank of China. Furthermore, the Chao's shipping company (the Foremost Group) has thrived thanks to the Chao's close relations with the Chinese government.

McConnell has been active in promoting his relations with Chinese government officials since the late 1990s. On his part, McConnell has defended his record regarding China by saying that he has been a consistent free trader regardless of the country. However, he does not take the trouble of explaining what kind of free trade China applies when that country actually practices a protectionist policy of subsidies, currency manipulation and price reductions at non-competitive levels.

I am not saying here that he or his family are guilty of mishandling their political power and/or their business interests, but I am quite concerned about his indifference at promoting a Senate investigation into Joe Biden, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats regarding their mishandling of their political power and/or their business interests.

Not for nothing high Democratic Party personalities and a few more from the Republican Party are frantically trying to turn public attention to President Trump and away from them. The poop of shady businesses in high spheres is more widespread than it seems and the accusers might turn-out to become the accused.

Nancy Pelosi is also no exception to this pitiful tendency by using her high political influence to promote murky influence-based businesses. Perhaps this is the reason for her previous reluctance to get bogged down in an impeachment procedure for fear that the inappropriate use of her political influence would also come out. And so it has been; her Pandora's box was opened and the poop is coming to light!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may soon be facing allegations similar to those raised about Joe Biden influence-based deals in Ukraine. A recent report suggested Pelosi’s son Paul may have used her position to benefit financially. A promotional video from 2013 resurfaced last Thursday, brought to public attention by journalist Patrick Howley.

The video shows excerpts from a Nancy Pelosi speech about her efforts in office to push for clean energy. Her message is followed by a promotional statement from her son Paul, who was a board member of Viscoil and an executive at its related company NRGLab. He identifies himself as the son of Ms. Pelosi adding: “That’s what Viscoil does — it uses technology to maximize the use of natural resources, like oil and other resources.” The fact is that he traveled to Ukraine on behalf of the Corporate Governance Initiative, where he now serves as Executive Director.

Children of Kerry, Biden and now Pelosi are involved in businesses in Ukraine under the influence of their parents ... Who else? Pandora's box is open and we'll see what and who sooner or later. Is it wrong for the US Government to ask the Ukraine Governmet to investigate corruption involving these kind of dealings?

But even within the US, Paul's father, Nancy's husband, was offered a preferred stock deal from the VISA credit card giant around the same time the company lobbied her office on legislation. Pelosi's husband also has been involved in projects that benefited from federal earmarks sponsored by his wife.

What about Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D)? What about Sen. Mitch McConnell (R)? I wish I had more time to keep fishing but I certainly hope that others will keep looking into the depths of the Pandora's box that's open now. The more it is revealed to the general public, the greater the possibility of cleaning the ranks of both parties in the 2020 election.

Juzgando por la atención histórica grabada, la decapitación del francés Luis XVI y la reputación de barbarie que acompañó el acontecimiento político que lo ejecutó, parece haber blanqueado a los ingleses de un acto similar cometido. Con golpes de Estado ha pasado lo mismo.

La institucionalidad, un Estado de derecho, elecciones periódicas y competitivas y el respeto por los espacios para la libre expresión, son pilares innegables en las dos democracias anglosajonas más relevantes: los EE. UU y Gran Bretaña. Esto no los ha eximido, sin embargo, de poseer en su trayectoria histórica cursos de acción que han buscado alterar el transcurso de un jefe ejecutivo o el de su gobierno por vías asimétricas. En América Latina los golpes de Estado tradicionales han sido el modo preferido para desarrollar esa tarea. En los EE. UU hemos estado presenciando métodos recónditos e ingeniosos. Por los últimos tres años, desde las altas esferas del poder político, se ha pretendido aplastar primero a un candidato y luego a un presidente, sin tregua.
El intento más reciente de deslegitimar la voluntad popular norteamericana es la investigación para determinar si se inicia un proceso de destitución (impeachment) contra Donald Trump. Esta vez la acusación contra el cuadragésimo quinto presidente, presentada por un denunciante anónimo cuyo mecanismo de queja está plagado de errores, es que abusó de su poder al pedirle al presidente de Ucrania, Volodímir Zelenski, por teléfono, el favor de reabrir la investigación que había sido cerrada misteriosamente al hijo del exvicepresidente y actual candidato presidencial, Joseph Biden.

Este proceso de destitución anfractuoso, calibrado estratégicamente por la élite del Partido Demócrata, en adición de poseer el propósito claro de querer sacar del poder a Trump, tiene el objetivo furtivo de tratar de frustrar tres investigaciones federales que actualmente se están llevando a cabo.

El Departamento de Justicia está investigando, tal como lo anunció William Barr, el fiscal general de los EE. UU, una serie de irregularidades que violan una gama de leyes norteamericanas ocurridas durante las elecciones de 2016 contra la campaña de Trump y que involucran a la administración de Barack Obama, su Departamento de Justicia, la dirigencia de la CIA y el FBI bajo su Gobierno, al Comité Nacional Demócrata (“CND”, organización que controla al Partido Demócrata); en colusión con varias agencias y operativos de inteligencia extranjeros donde se formuló dossiers e información falsa y no verificada para obtener los permisos necesarios del Tribunal de Vigilancia de Inteligencia Extranjera (cortes secretas para validar el espionaje contra extranjeros y estadounidenses, “FISA Courts”) para espiar a ciudadanos estadounidenses del equipo de Trump, incitar al delito y filtrar información privilegiada a la prensa para impactar los acontecimientos. En fin, se ejerció un abuso de poder abismal para intentar frenar y destruir al presidente.

Trump no cometió ningún acto de maleficencia en su conversación con el presidente Zelenski. Todo lo contrario. El recién electo presidente ucraniano (Zelenski) gano con el 73 % de la votación anunciando una campaña integral contra la corrupción, un mal agudo en Ucrania y uno que Petró Poroshenko, el perdedor en las elecciones y expresidente, no logró frenar. Ucrania y EE. UU están comprometidos en hacer cumplir el Tratado de Asistencia Legal Mutua en Asuntos de Criminalidad, firmado en 1998. Dicho acuerdo promueve la cooperación entre las dos naciones en asuntos de malversación. Adicionalmente, el Artículo II, Sección 3 de la Constitución de los EE. UU le impone al presidente la tarea de hacer cumplir las leyes.

El Gobierno de Obama le concedió a Ucrania tres mil millones en ayuda extranjera, de los cuales más de la mitad, 1.8 mil millones, no se sabe a dónde fue a parar. Había una investigación en conjunto entre los EE. UU y Ucrania sobre este asunto. Sin embargo, en enero de 2016 el Gobierno de Obama, de acuerdo con información divulgada por fiscales e investigadores ucranianos, desvió la investigación presionando a Ucrania a que les entregaran datos incriminadores potencialmente sobre Paul Manafort, oficial del equipo de campaña de Trump, y que abandonaran la pesquisa contra Burisma, la empresa vinculada al hijo de Biden.

Tan escandaloso ha resultado esto que un tribunal del distrito de Kiev dictaminó en diciembre de 2018 que el Buro Anticorrupción Nacional de Ucrania, siguiendo los dictámenes del Gobierno Obama y operativos del CND, interfirió indebidamente en las elecciones estadounidenses de 2016.

I appreciate the revealing additional contribution that Julio Shiling gives us in his post, informing readers in Spanish that:

The Department of Justice is investigating, as announced by William Barr, the U.S. Attorney General, a series of irregularities in violation of a range of American laws that occurred during the 2016 election against the Trump campaign and involving the Administration of Barack Obama, his Department of Justice, the leadership of the CIA and the FBI under his rule, in collaboration with the Democratic National Committee (an organization of the Democratic Party); and in collusion with several foreign intelligence agencies and operatives where dossiers and false and unverified informations were formulated to obtain the necessary permits from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Tribunal ("FISA Courts") to spy on U.S. citizens of Trump's team.

The ball bounces and eludes those trying to stop it as more evidences are being uncovered from not one, but several Pandora boxes kept up to now under cover within the American political stage, as the US Dept. of Justice (DOJ) was forced to reveal under the FOIA Law (Freedom of Information Act) a 72 pages document containing Russia-related emails sent from Nellie Ohr to high-ranking DOJ official Lisa Holtyn during the time Ohr worked with anti-Trump dossier firm Fusion GPS. Holtyn at the time was a top aide to former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr. Nellie Ohr, the wife of this Justice Department official, told her husband she was deleting emails sent from his government account. The revelation comes as both Ohrs remain under intense scrutiny for their ties to Fusion GPS and British ex-spy Christopher Steele, the author of the anti-Trump dossier that was used to obtain warrants to wiretap a member of President Trump's 2016 campaign.

In spite of Nellie Ohr’s attempt to erase all evidence, the 72 pages document recently revealed contains enough proofs of their wrong doings. In an email to Holtyn dated November 22, 2016, revealing her anti-Trump sentiments, Nellie poses a question in the subject line: “Who stands behind the Russian ‘friends of Trump?;’” which she answers enthusiastically in the first line of the email: “Pornographer-turned-pro-Kremlin-media-impresario Konstantin Rykov!!!”

The documents show that Nellie Ohr was providing the Department of Justice significant amounts of information on Russia via email from January 2016–November 2016. She testified to Congress she worked as a contractor for Fusion GPS from “October of 2015, give or take a couple weeks, and into the end of September 2016”. Much of the material Ohr sent to the DOJ is untranslated Russian-language reports, accessible at the link given above.

Fusion GPS is the firm paid by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee to create the anti-Trump dossier.

A report published almost three years ago in a well known leftist news media, Politico, has been practically ignored at a time when there is an impeachment procedure against President Trump on account of his request to investigate the alleged improper bussiness meddlings in Ukraine by Hunter Biden under the decisive official influence of Joe Biden as Vicepresident of the United States. However, the fact is that on January 11, 1917, Politico reported under a headline titled «Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire» that "Kiev officials are scrambling to make amends with the president-elect after quietly working to boost Clinton." Politico uncovered how "Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump". Readers may read the full revealing report HERE

At that time, Hillary Clinton’s campaign advanced Democrats’ argument that Trump’s campaign was closely linked to Russia and against Ukraine. However, after two years employed in vain in the Robert Mueller investigacion, the argument has shifted at the House Intelligence Committee, led by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., to a new strategy trying to prove that Trump was instead involved in an improper investigation putting presssure on Ukraine tu hurt Joe Biden's presidential campaign. This appears to be an attempt to divert attention from the Bidens alleged illegal actions to promote their bussiness interests in Ukraine, so that no investigation would follow on what really happened during the six visits and the many phone calls from Vicepresident Biden to Ukraine's President, while his son was hired as a member of the Executive Board of Burisma Holdings, a major Ukrainian natural gas producer.

A member of the US Democratic Party that occasionally contributes to the democratic quest that we advocate from these pages gave me some information on the subject we are analyzing here. That information encouraged me to continue investigating this political crisis that seriously afflicts the United States. He also told me that his sympathies prompted him to wish that the Democratic Party would once again be the one led by Woodrow Wilson, Franklyn Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Kennedy and Johnson, by cleansing it of the influence of those who are diverting the Party away from its principles. Therefore, he did not want to reveal his identity, but wishes the truth to be known, and I respect him for it.

Although I am an independent on the US political scene, I agree with his appreciation of such a prestigious political party and with many of the principles and elements of the political platform of the US Democratic Party. Therefore, it is not intended here to denigrate the Democratic Party by revealing these facts and machinations but to unmask those who use it to promote their power ambitions and a political agenda that diverges from those principles.
Murky maneuvers continue to emerge from this Pandora Box, that put in serious danger the democratic foundations of this country. Not only Viktor Shokin (right in photo), the Prosecutor General deposed under the pressure exerted by Joe Biden on the Ukrainian government (as revealed by Biden's own words on a TV show), but also the prosecutor that replaced Shokin, Yuriy Lutsenko (left in photo), both openly declared in recent interviews that the Burisma company was being investigated for corruption and money laundering operations that involved Hunter Biden since late 2015. It should be stressed that in the case of Lutsenko, he was appointed with the approval of the American Ambassador and the consent of Joe Biden, according to Lutsenko's own words. Although the credibility of these statements may be called into question, the evidence being presented in countless official documents cannot be denied.

In addition, former Ukrainian Prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko stated that after he replaced Shokin he was visited by U.S. State Department official George Kent and Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch. He declared that they provided a list of corruption cases the Ukraine government must not follow. Prosecutor Lutsenko dropping specific corruption cases was critical because that allowed/enabled a process of laundering money back to U.S. officials.

There are written documents that need to be subpoena for evidence showing that months ago the U.S. Chargé d’affaires to Ukraine, Bill Taylor, engaged in carefully planned text messages with European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland to set-up a narrative helpful to Adam Schiff’s political goals. According to Mr. Giuliani, he has official documents as evidence that Bill Taylor helped the Obama administration to design the laundry operation providing taxpayer financing to Ukraine in exchange for back-channel payments to U.S. politicians and their families.

However, this is a murky situation that might involve some Republican Senators as well, who may very well have been beneficiaries of some money from the aforementioned laundry process. Majority Leader, Sen. Mitch McConnell, holds the power over the members of the Senate Inteligence Committee. However, he is quite silenced in this process –perhaps to protect his own interests– and he has been advising President Trump which Senators are most likely to need their sensibilities eased. As an example President Trump met with Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski in November. Senator Murkowski rakes in millions from the multinational Oil and Gas industry; and she ain’t about to allow "horrible Trump" to lessen her bank account, according to some intimate whispers.

Furthermore, it has also been discovered that the prominent former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, began investigating corruption cases in Ukraine that involved the interests of the United States long before Joe Biden decided to run for President of the United States, which refutes the lies proclaimed in Congress and in a large sector of the US media accusing President Trump of initiating the investigation to harm a rival candidate in the 2020 elections.
Mr. Giuliani visited the White House on Friday, Dec. 13, where he was seen leaving the West Wing (as shown in the photo). The Trump Administration has yet to comment on the reason behind his visit, but the President has asked the attorney to brief Republican senators and the Department of Justice on his findings from last week’s trip. Giuliani has since announced he will be revealing “evidence I have garnered through hundreds of hours of research.”

Given these evidences and many more that are well documented and are being revealed now, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has invited Rudy Giuliani to testify about his trip to Ukraine with a One America News reporter and crew. During a recent interview, Graham said he would be glad to talk with Giuliani so he can tell the Senate what the attorney uncovered during his trip.

Who knows what else is about to emerge from the Pandora's Box opened by the US Congress. Let us hope that it all comes to the surface, as it should be in a free democracy.

I have received an Email containing an amazing list of elected members to the House of Representatives of the United States (deeply involved in the impeachment procedures against President Trump) who, according to data compiled by Trevor Loudon, in his blog " New Zeal ", have shown their far-left tendencies, including communist links and ideology, as well as their notorious undemocratic activism. In order to verify the authenticity of Mr. Loudon's arguments that justify including these personalities in his list, I have visited his blog to check them. This list, which I copy below, includes 50 congressmen out of a total of nearly 100 that Mr. Loudon proclaims that he uncovers in detail at Keywiki among several hundreds of other activists inside and outside the US Congress with similar trends and ideas.

I’ve been asked to compile a list of socialists and communists in Congress. A friend of mine was challenged to name “even two socialists in Congress.” Altogether, if you add in Islamist connections I think about 100 members of the House of Representatives would struggle to pass a low-level background security check..but guess what? There are no security checks in Congress.

Here’s my list of 50 of the most obvious socialists/communists in the House, with links to my website Keywiki for the backup evidence.

■ Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) Has worked closely with the Communist Party USA since at least 1993. A self-described “Alinskyite.” Traveled to Cuba in 2015.
■ Ami Bera (D-CA) Has used Communist Party USA campaign volunteers in 2010, 2014 and 2016. Also close to Democratic Socialists of America.
■ Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) Very close to several key Communist Party USA allies in San Francisco in the 1970s and ’80s. Also some involvement with Democratic Socialists of America.
■ Barbara Lee (D-CA) Lee has been close to the Communist Party USA for decades. In the 1990s she was a leading member of the Communist Party spin-off Committees of Correspondence. Has been to Cuba more than 20 times.
■ Ro Khanna (D-CA) Very close to Democratic Socialists of America.
■ Salud Carbajal (D-CA) Long history with Democratic Socialists of America members.
■ Judy Chu (D-CA) Was heavily involved with the now-defunct pro-Beijing Communist Workers Party in the 1970s and ’80s. Still works closely with former members today. China’s best friend in the US Congress.
■ Raul Ruiz (D-CA) Worked closely with Workers World Party members in Massachusetts in the late 1990s.
■ Karen Bass (D-CA) Was actively involved with the Marxist-Leninist group Line of March in the 1980s. Still works closely with former members. Mentored by a leading Communist Party USA member. Also close to Democratic Socialists of America and some Freedom Road Socialist Organization members. Has been to Cuba at least 4 times.
■ Maxine Waters (D-CA) Long history with the Communist Party USA. Also ties to some Communist Workers Party and Workers World Party fronts. Has employed staff members from Democratic Socialists of America and League of Revolutionary Struggle.
■ Joe Courtney (D-CT) Has worked closely with several Communist Party USA leaders.
■ Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) Has worked extremely closely with the Communist Party USA for many years. Traveled to Cuba in 2014.
■ Jim Himes (D-CT) His 1988 thesis “The Sandinista Defense Committees and the Transformation of Political Culture in Nicaragua” was a sympathetic portrayal of Marxist government’s civilian spy network. Has worked closely with one Communist Party USA front group.
■ Kathy Castor (D-FL) Has worked closely with Cuba and pro-Castro organizations to open US trade with the communist island.
■ John Lewis (D-GA) Worked closely with the Communist Party USA and Socialist Party USA in the 1960s. In recent years has worked with Democratic Socialists of America members.
■ Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) Has worked with Democratic Socialists of America members through her political career. Ties to some Filipino-American “former communists.” Worked with Communist Party USA affiliated former Congressman Dennis Kucinich to defend Soviet-Russian puppet Syrian leader Bashar-al-Assad.
■ Bobby Rush (D-IL) Former leader of the Maoist-leaning Black Panther Party. Has worked closely with Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America. Has traveled to Cuba twice.
■ Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D-IL) Has worked closely with the Communist Party USA for nearly 40 years.
■ Danny Davis (D-IL) Was a member of Democratic Socialists of America in the mid 2000s. Has worked closely with the Communist Party USA since the 1980s. Also close to Committees of Correspondence in the 1990s.
■ Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) Was a member of Democratic Socialists of America in the 1980s and has continued to work closely with the organization. Has also worked closely with some Communist Party USA members.
■ Dave Loebsack (D-IA) has worked closely with Socialist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America members for many years.
■ John Yarmuth (D-KY) has worked with Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism members. Traveled to Cuba in 2011.
■ Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has worked closely with Democratic Socialists of America for many years.
■ Jim McGovern (D-MA) has supported Latin American socialist and revolutionary groups for 20 years. Has traveled to Cuba at least three times.
■ Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) Has been endorsed by Democratic Socialists of America. Worked with Freedom Road Socialist Organization front groups and with the pro-Beijing Chinese Progressive Association in Boston.
■ Andy Levin (D-MI) Close to Democratic Socialists of America for at least a decade.
■ Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) Democratic Socialists of America member.
■ Betty McCollum (D-MN) Close ties to communist Laos. Has worked with Democratic Socialists of America members. Traveled to Cuba in 2014.
■ Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Supported by Democratic Socialists of America- controlled groups Our Revolution and National Nurses United. Reportedly a self-described “Democratic Socialist.”
■ Bennie Thompson (D-MS) Was close to the Communist Party USA for many years. Also supported one Communist Workers Party organization. Traveled to Cuba in 2000 and worked with Fidel Castro to train leftist American medical students in Cuba.
■ William Lacy Clay (D-MO) Has worked with Communist Party USA fronts for many years.
■ Greg Meeks (D-NY) Has traveled to Cuba at least 3 times. Was a strong supporter of Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.
■ Grace Meng (D-NY) Very close to the pro-Beijing Asian Americans for Equality. Was also active in a radical Korean-American organization.
■ Nydia Velasquez (D-NY) Close ties to Democratic Socialists of America. Welcomed Fidel Castro to Harlem in 1995.
■ Yvette Clarke (D-NY) Addressed a Workers World Party rally in 2005. A close ally of a prominent Democratic Socialists of America member. Traveled to Cuba in 2007.
■ Jerry Nadler (D-NY) Was a member of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee in the 1970s and was involved with Democratic Socialists of America in the ’80s and ’90s.
■ Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) A member of Democratic Socialists of America.
■ Jose Serrano (D-NY) Close ties to the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America. Was a strong supporter of Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.
■ G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) Some connection to Workers World Party and Freedom Road Socialist Organization. Also close to the “former” communist led Moral Mondays movement.
■ Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) Ties to Democratic Socialists of America. Traveled to Cuba in 2002.
■ Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) Ties to Democratic Socialists of America.
■ Steve Cohen (D-TN) Close ties to Memphis Socialist Party USA members. Traveled to Cuba in 2011.
■ Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) Elected to the Texas State House with Communist Party USA support. Works closely with a major communist-influenced organization.
■ Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) Long relationship with the Communist Party USA. Traveled to Cuba at least twice.
■ Marc Veasey (D-TX) Very close relationship with the Communist Party USA.
■ Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) Has been involved with Democratic Socialists of America since the 1980s.
■ Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) Has been involved with Freedom Road Socialist Organization-connected groups for many years.
■ Mark Pocan (D-WI) Close to some Democratic Socialists of America activists. Long-time active supporter of Colombian revolutionary movements.
■ Gwen Moore (D-WI) Has been mentored by leading Democratic Socialists of America and Communist Party USA members.
■ Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) Former Young Peoples Socialist League member. Long connection to Democratic Socialists of America.
