Socialism rising in America?

A recent poll showed that over half of Generation Z is likely to vote for candidates with socialist positions. We have seen some of this in recent elections.

Recently, voters in America’s largest city nominated a self-avowed socialist to be mayor. Some of his proposals include…
  • Banning ICE agents from city limits
  • Establishing city-owned grocery stores
  • Instituting a $30-an-hour minimum wage
  • Replacing the police with social workers
Why did this happen?

For one thing, too many young Americans have not been taught what socialism really means or the dismal history of its failures wherever it has been tried.

For another, too many are no longer being taught about America’s great heritage of liberty and the importance of the Constitution to freedom.

This is because of the “progressive” Left’s increasing success in hijacking American education at both the K-12 and college levels. So, it’s no surprise that those who support socialist candidates tend to be college-educated!

In the face of socialism’s recent success, we must remember: it is never too late to preserve and defend liberty through education.

We hope to hear from friends representing every part of the country. Please, take Hillsdale College’s National Survey on Socialism today.
