How Candidates Run

How candidates run can say a lot about their real character and their values. If a candidate only does interviews with the media who will not ask the difficult questions, and even then talks in word circles that really say very little, that candidate is running from the past and what they have done.

If a candidate does mostly "star" appearances where they could be screened and stage actors for all the issues that they say what they will do about, they think of themselves as "stars" and not servants of the people. They see themselves as above the people. If a candidate only answers soft ball questions, they don't want to tell you what they will really do, so they can do what they want. They do not see themselves as responsible to voters but they see voters as being under their "care".

If a candidate will answers any question any media member asks him or her, they believe that they need to be responsible to the voters. If a candidate goes into detail as to what they have done and will do, they want the people to know their values and what they intend to do. If a candidate spends time among the voters, they see themselves as responsible to them and their servant.

Whether they talk smoothly or gruffly is not the telltale. Smooth talking can be a coverup. Gruff talk can be honest sharing. Look for the signs that a candidate intends to serve all the people after being elected or only a select few of the people. Look for the ability to give straightforward answers to the leaders of the world, especially our enemies.
