By now it is quite evident that the violent protests, looting, destruction of businesses and properties, and the aggressive campaign against the forces of law and order are not the outraged reaction against racism or against the tragic action of an abusive policeman on a street in Missouri. These arguments are pure pretexts to foment a popular insurrection that sets out to create chaos aiming to destroy the democratic order, influence and discredit the electoral process and force political decisions under the influence of the mobs.
Thus we see with deep concern and alarm what happened recently in a suburb of San Luis, where the elected authorities have taken sides in favor of the mobs that were threateningly invading the property of a couple of lawyers who until then had been quietly at home.
It is all the more regrettable how most of the media accuse the victims of aggressive criminal behavior when defending their community and their property while praising the aggressive trespassers calling them peaceful protesters.
How far have the facts been truthfully propagated? Not much! They have been misrepresented and disguised to publicly lynch two citizens who, furthermore, far from being racist, are two lawyers who have to their credit the defense of many black defendants.
Let us see the order of events.
St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, had publicly revealed the names and addresses of constituents who had written to her in support of "defunding" the police, thus promoting a breakdown of law and order.
Afterwards, the protesters allegedly were taking a shortcut to the home of Mayor Krewson, planning to harangue her and demand her resignation. But she lives in a private and gated community. Protesters had to break through a pedestrian gate that is permanently locked to enter the private community by force. It just happens that the McCloskey's home faces the pedestrian gate.
When Mr. McCloskey heard the sound of loud drums and the roar and the clamor of the invading crowd, he came out and found some 300 protesters advancing towards his home and some of them walking inside their property limits. Considering the history of violence and destruction of the previous days, McCloskey was alarmed and demanded that they move away from his property. When the protesters ignored their demands he pulled out a gun and the wife too, and they repeatedly asked them to leave their property. After the protesters responded with epithets and threats, the couple went out to their lawn and threatened intruders pointing their weapons at those already inside the limits of their property. It is from here that the lying press publishes videos that "demonstrate" the "criminal" attitudes of the McCloskeys, just when the intruders decided to keep going in their march.
"I was a person scared for my life, who was protecting my wife, my home, my hearth, my livelihood," McCloskey said in a June 30 interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo.
"I was a victim of a mob that came through the gate. I didn't care what color they were. I didn't care what their motivation was. I was frightened. I was assaulted. And I was in imminent fear that they would run me over, kill me, burn my house." He described
"hundreds of people" who were
"screaming, shouting, angry" as they
"broke through the private gate." He said they were
"screaming death threats at me and threatening to burn my house and kill my dog and [talking about]
what rooms in my house they were going to live in after they killed me." It is a fact the protesters already were illegally walking through a private neighborhood and trespassing on the lawn of a private home.
"Any pretense of protest, as opposed to terrorism, ended when they broke through that gate," McCloskey said on CNN.
The whole sequence of these events have been marginalized and have even been hidden by the authorities who respond to a political agenda aimed at fostering chaos and discontent. The McCloskeys are being charged with a criminal act!
"It is illegal to wave weapons in a threatening manner at those participating in nonviolent protest," St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, a Democrat and the first African American to occupy her position, said when she filed the charges. On his part, Sen. Josh Hawley (R–Mo.) asserted that:
"There is no question under Missouri law that the McCloskeys had the right to own and use their firearms to protect themselves from threatened violence," adding that
"any criminal prosecution for these actions is legally unsound."
However, the McCloskey's will be forced to face trial. If you were part of the jury, what would your judgment be?
